María´s bar is rightly famed for the traditional Paella Alicantina that she does so ably/ Paella on a beautiful Sella terrace couldn’t find a better place. No seafood in the trad. version: chicken, rabbit and chickpeas. Of course if you order specially and with some notice, she can do a vegetarian paella, a seafood paella.. whatever you like. María´s also does takeaway paellas, just arrange it in advance.
It´s a place with a great terrace – just go there for a beer or a coffee in the morning and sit out and enjoy the view. You´ll probably be served and looked after by Pepa, the carpenter´s wife, who has a lovely smile and will always struggle her best to understand your bad Spanish with her non-existent English.
