Paco runs a great little bar – really busy in the summer when the pool’s open, he keeps going through the winter and can do you a tapas or more serious lunch or dinner – if you give him some warning! The bar is at the swimming pool – 5-10 minute walk above the village.
Just ask him to bring food and let Paco decide – but be sure to get Chicken Stroganoff – it’s great!
The pool bar is open throughout the year – sometimes closed Mondays – and on a sunny January day is the best place to sit out on the terrace with a cold beer and a few things to nibble and plan just how you will climb the Puig Campana, clearly visible right in front of you, the next day.
Of course when the pool´s open in July and August you need to be there to cool off in the icy water. Wonderful!
Reme, Paco’s wife, and on some days the whole family, will give you a warm Gallego/ Valencian welcome!
